UPDATE
I was playing around with the new Facebook Timeline [the "playing around with it" happened during Beta period ] and realized that people are going to want to get creative with the new Cover image feature [check out some creative ideas on socialmediaexaminer.com].
Here are the dimensions for your Facebook Cover image:
- 850 px wide
- 315 px tall (minimum) – you can reposition your Cover image so you can make it as tall as you want but only the 850×315 area will be seen.
Keep in mind that the Facebook iPhone app version 4.1 (includes Timeline update) displays a slightly different ratio of profile-picture to cover-image .
